The daily average temperature for the month of October in Toronto is a comfortable 10.6°C or 51°F. The average high in October is 13.8°C or 57°F and the average low is 7.3°C or 45°F. Average rainfall for the month is 64.7mm or 2.5". Moderately high humidity is a possibility at this time of year. Be prepared for a variety of conditions.
You should arrive at least an hour before your start time to do any last minute things (baggage check, warm-up, toilets, etc).
Marathon and Half-Marathon Baggage Check will be open from 7:00-8:00am (drop-off) and 9:30am-3pm (pick-up), behind Nathan Phillips Square on the northwest corner of Chestnut & Armoury Street. Baggage Check will be located under a huge 100ft x 40ft marquee tent — when checking in your bag, simply look for the section that corresponds to your bib # and line-up there. Due to the changes in the 5K Start Line location, and restricted access to the area because of the different course road closures that day, we will only be checking in bags at the 5K Finish Area. 5k Baggage Check will be open from 5:45-6:45am (drop-off) and 8:30-10:30am (pick-up), behind Nathan Phillips Square on the northwest corner of Chestnut & Armoury Street. 5K Baggage check will be located under a 40ft x 30ft marquee tent on the south side of the parking lot, organized by bib #. Simply look for the tent that corresponds to your bib# and drop your bag off there. After you finish, your bag will be ready for you at the same location. All marathon, half marathon and 5k finishers will receive a medal.
Yes, post-race massage takes place between 9:00am and 4:00pm at the Party Site near the finish line area. The cost is $15 for a 15 minute massage. You can order when registering or separately online until midnight Oct 13, 2014.
Presentation at the finish line to top 3 overall males and females, and top Canadians, in the marathon. All other Results will be posted on the RESULTS WALL next to the Main Stage in Nathan Phillips Square. You can pickup your prize at the AWARDS TENT adjacent to the main stage.
