FAQ: Registration & Packet Pickup
Where and when can I register?
You can register online until midnight September 23/08, or by mail (use paper entry, postmarked by August 31/08). Run week registration is on September 26-27 at the Runners' Expo, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 255 Front St. West. For complete information please see the registration page.
I lost my confirmation email. Can you please send it again?
If you registered with EventsOnline, please click here so you can request an email to be automatically re-sent with your STWM confirmation # and information.
If you registered with RUNNING ROOM or MARATHONGUIDE, email to have it re-sent.
I'm injured, can I have a refund? I can't make it anymore, can I have my money back? / Can I transfer my entry to a friend?
Unfortunately we have a no refund policy for the Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Half-Marathon and 5k Run / Walk / Wheelchair and all events in the Canada Running Series. However, for STWM you can switch from one event to another, or transfer your entry to a friend, at the EXPO ONLY. Please see the Help Desk at the Expo as the online option is now closed. Pick up your original race kit first, then go to the corrections table to make changes.
Please note there is a $10 administration charge for ALL event changes.
I'm already registered and now I want to add Pasta Dinner Tickets, Massage Tickets or Scotiabank Red Laces. How can I do that?
To add any of these items to your registration, use the following link:
www.eventsonline.ca/events/crs_scotia_pasta/. Closes midnight September 23, 2008.
On race weekend, tickets can be purchased at the Expo.
Can I switch to the half from the full? Can I change the event distance I am running?
Yes ... if you need to change your event distance you can do this at the EXPO. Please see the Help Desk at the Expo as the online option is now closed. Pick up your original race kit first, then go to the corrections table to make changes.
Please note there is a $10 administration charge for ALL event changes. If you are moving to a longer distance incremental entry fees will also apply.
Can I defer my entry to next year?
For full marathoners (only) who cannot run and do not wish to change events or transfer to a friend, it may be possible to defer your full marathon entry to the following year. This will be permitted on a case-by-case basis; please contact us with your details and reason you cannot run. [Sorry, this does NOT apply to half marathon and 5k entries, please do not bother asking.]
What am I picking up in my run packet?
In your race packet will be:
- your bib number*
- your timing chip*
- your run T-shirt
- Runners' Packet
*Remember, you need to bring your ChampionChip timing chip and your bib number to participate on run day.
When and where can I pick up my run packet?
Run packet pickup is available at the RUNNERS' EXPO, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building, 255 Front St. West. Easy access via Skywalk from Union Station. We strongly recommend you pick up your packet early.
- Friday September 26, 11:00am to 8:00pm
- Saturday September 27, 10:00am to 6:00pm
You (or a friend) must pick up your number, ChampionChip, t-shirt and goodie bag at the RUNNERS' EXPO on Friday or Saturday. Please bring photo ID OR a printout of your registration email confirmation. THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO RACE KIT PICK-UP ON RACE DAY.
Can I pick up my friend's run packet? Can someone pick up my packet?
Yes - BUT ... you will need to produce the following two items in order to pick up a run packet that is not your own:
- A printout of the registration confirmation of the person you wish to pick up for AND
- Email or written permission from the person you wish to pick up for
If picking up for friends, you can do so for a maximum of three, after which you'll have to line up again at the appropriate table. This keeps the line moving and fair for all runners involved with the event.

Yes - Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building, 255 Front St. West.
Easy access via Skywalk from Union Station.
