Help kids with autism like Luca take Giant Steps —
On September 28th, run, walk or make a pledge and join us in supporting children with autism!
1 in 150 Canadian children have autism – a complex neurological disorder more common than diabetes, cancer and AIDS combined. Autism is characterized by varying degrees of communication, social and sensory disorders.
Kids like Luca require intensive, specialized therapies and education programs, and many families struggle to find affordable services for their children.
Giant Steps provides elementary school-aged children with autism with individualized programs of academics, therapies and daily living skills, AND supports them in their local schools — the only program in the GTA to do so.
Every dollar we raise will be used to deliver hands-on speech, music, play and occupational therapies to Luca and other children with autism. Your support of our kids' therapy programs will enable these special children who have much to offer, but who struggle with the complex challenges of autism every day.
Join us and receive:
- A reduced registration fee — $50 for the marathon and half marathon or $25 for the 5 km
- A refund of your registration fee for the run for each Giant Steps team member who raises $250 or more (conditions apply)
