Helping People Reconnect with Our Community

The Fort York Food Bank (FYFB) is a multi-service agency focused on reconnecting people with our community. The largest agency of Daily Bread Food Bank by client base, FYFB helps people living in poverty in downtown Toronto receive the food and support programs they need to get on track through four main programs.

The Food Program provides basic nutritional requirements to individuals and families in need. The Counselling and Advocacy Program focuses on preventing homelessness and reducing hunger by helping our clients resolve the underlying issues affecting them. The Community Centre Program provides a safe and friendly environment with hot meals through a community kitchen, a Computer Resource Centre, clothing and books. The Community Vitality Program community helps engage clients in the broader community through economic development initiatives and special events.
