Careforce International
WHO WE ARE:
Careforce International is a force of people devoted to bringing help, healing and hope to children in need around the world.
We are passionate about changing lives – the lives of children in need and lives of people who are willing to BE THE ONE to help meet the needs of those children.
We engage in partnerships with projects, individuals and organizations in areas where there are children living in poverty, without any opportunity to realize their potential. We assist by providing resources (people, items, funds), strategic planning, training which enable our projects to better support the children in their care. The projects in which we are actively engaged are:
- The Village of Hope, Burkina Faso, West Africa
- The Lighthouse School, Los Alcarrizos, Dominican Republic
- Mully Children's Family, Kenya, East Africa
- The Child Nutrition Program, El Cercado, Dominican Republic
- First Nations Initiatives, Aroland and Six Nations First Nations, Ontario, Canada
WITH YOUR HELP:
Children should not be anonymous. They should be given the chance to be healthy, to learn, to grow and to succeed. In the developing world however, children who get these chances are few and far between. By supporting Careforce International you can play a significant role in providing food, clean water, shelter, clothing, formal education and vocational training and much more to children who deserve no less. Careforce International provides a number of different ways for you to get involved – you can visit one of our projects on a 1-2 week TEAM EXPERIENCE or choose to support the children at one of our projects through our SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM. WHY WE RUN:
As an organization we are committed to changing lives. By walking or running the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront 5k, Half or Full Marathon with us you will have the opportunity to change your life as well as the lives of children living in poverty. As a team we will learn skills, develop endurance and experience camaraderie with the satisfaction of knowing that we walk/run not only for ourselves, but for the children.
WHY JOIN US?
- The first ten people to sign up and pledge to raise over $1000 register for free!
- All participants who successfully raise over $1000 will receive an awesome Careforce International Gift Package!
- All participants who raise over $2000 will receive 10% of their total raised as a discount towards a Careforce International Team Experience!
- Anyone who registers and raises more than $10 decreases their half/full registration fee to $50 or their 5K fee to $25 – you have nothing to lose!
