Community Education Services (CES) Canada is a non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to providing access to education for orphans and other HIV/Aids affected children living in Kenya.
Join Team CES Canada and Walk or Run for those who have no possible way to attend secondary school. Every step you take will bring hope for a future through education. Every kilometre will help to defeat the ravages of HIV/Aids in Kenya.
Give the gift of education by running or walking in the Scotiabank Group Charity Challenge on Sunday, September 28, 2008. Help CES Canada to raise $50,000… make the difference for orphaned youth in the Kakamega area of Western Kenya.
Funds raised will provide scholarships to pay the annual fees for a public secondary school education. In addition they provide one meal each day as well as vitamin supplements, school uniforms, textbooks and other school supplies and basic medical services to students.
CES Canada works with teachers to develop learning and educational materials on healthy living, practicing safe sex and preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS. CES Canada is also helping to improve educational standards by improving information technology and textbook resources and by upgrading classroom facilities.
With your help CES Canada can strengthen the school community and at the same time bring hope and encouragement to people who live in acute poverty.
If you cannot run or walk with Team CES Canada on September 28 you can still participate by sponsoring a runner/walker or donating to CES Canada.
