Come on out on Sept 28 in support of Autism Ontario Simcoe County Chapter. Do you enjoy running 5k, half-marathon or a marathon or are you thinking about trying one of these distances for the first time? Why not accomplish your goal and help us accomplish ours? We're looking for you to join our team at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon this fall.
Autism Ontario — Simcoe County is a regional chapter of Autism Ontario (formerly known as Autism Society Ontario), a charitable organization dedicated to ensuring that every individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder is provided the means to achieve quality of life as a respected member of society.
Autism Ontario — Simcoe County Chapter is a leading source of support, education and awareness for the 2500 individuals in Simcoe County with autism, and their families. We rely 100% on donations and fundraising to provide the many programs, events, social and recreational opportunities that we offer throughout the year. Please consider joining our team and helping us raise money.
1 out of every 150 children is diagnosed with autism, a life-long developmental disability affecting communication, behaviour and social skills. Although there is treatment for autism, there is no cure.
Team members who raise over $100 in pledges will be recognized at our Second Annual Volunteer Recognition Party.
